Anchor to Pickup Point Delivery Option Generator Function APIPickup Point Delivery Option Generator Function API

Early access

The Pickup Points Delivery Option Generator Function API is a feature that's available by request to merchants on the Shopify Plus plan. Merchants must be enrolled in the Partner program to deploy custom solutions that they've developed for themselves. To request access, contact pickup-point-generator-early-access@shopify.com. You can test the Pickup Points Delivery Option Generator Function API on Partner development stores without requesting access.

A pickup point is a third-party location, such as a post office or convenience store, where customers can choose to have their orders delivered at checkout. To generate pickup point delivery options, you can only use the Pickup Point Delivery Option Generator Function API, unless merchants are in specific regions and want to use selected carrier services that Shopify already integrates with.

Shopify Functions enable you to customize Shopify's backend logic. The Pickup Point Delivery Option Generator Function API integrates this logic into the checkout flow.

The Pickup Point Delivery Option Generator Function API is used to generate the delivery options for pickup points. Each pickup point can include associated data such as a location's address, its business hours, and pickup costs.

Add nearby pickup points for customers to select at checkout and provide associated costs, distance, and hours of operation.

A target is an identifier in shopify.extension.toml that specifies where you're injecting code into Shopify Function APIs, or other parts of the Shopify platform. Each target is composed of three to four namespaces. The name begins with a broad Shopify context and ends with the behavior of the extensible element.
